Perhaps I over planned my holiday because, with one thing gone wrong, all seems to have gone astray.

By noon yesterday it had warmed UP to -32C/-28F (yes you read that right). The car would not start. Dead battery. After an hour and a half out in the blasted cold removing and replacing it I was done for. We canceled our plans for Boxing Day. So too have we canceled plans for today and a trip out of town on the weekend. Blast it. Bummer.

I have wished the best for you all - that your plans have turned out better than my own.

Sometimes though it is those things that have gone awry that make the occasions memorable.
