I want to throw mine out the window too. It's allergic to mice (that's right - the electronic kind). I have three of them, including a brand new one, and none of them work reliably. There was a fourth one (brand new) that this computer couldn't 'get' at all, although the one that works the best out of my collection is the same kind. Mouse #4 works just fine on hubby's computer. And I can get away with complaining about my computer publicly like this without hurting its feelings, since this computer has ADD, and isn't paying attention anyway.
My computer at work is almost as slow as this one (when I say that to someone watching how long it takes the computer to do something, they always say, "oh, I'm sorry.") It's irritating to have high speed internet connection and stuff, and a computer that takes its time anyway. I think that the computer at work is dissociative. Maybe even DID. It has some identities that get things done right away, and with others, I get tired of waiting and go make myself a cup of herb tea, and when I get back it's still not done. This is with the same task (usually opening a program).
Oh, and my truck has SAD. It keeps breaking down when it's cold. Loses its appetite too. It won't let me fill the gas tank unless the sun is shining.
Can I throw them all out the window?
I guess the bigger question is, if we do, who will buy us new ones that don't have all these hangups?
