I never do anything on New Year's Eve. I don't like being out on the streets with people driving ui. I'll stay home with my cats and reassure them when jerks let off loud fireworks. I'll read or paint. I have Hanukkah, Christmas, my birthday, and the New Year in December...by now I'm holiday'd out.
