Your mom is full of it. You have every right to your emotions. It doesn't mean that you have to let your emotions control you or that you have to act on that anger, but you feel how you feel. There is no right or wrong.
It pisses me off so much when parents try to tell their children how to feel. That's what screws kids up and causes disordered thinking.
