I ask because sometimes, there is a connecting link between that which might be diagnosed as "symptoms" and what is actually happening in an individual's life. If there was a connection, it might be possible that you could convince your boyfriend to go see someone to help deal with the troublesome details that are causing him stress in his daily life. Regretably, I do not know of any way of coaxing someone into treatment.
Meantime, the following article happens to be one of my favorite in regard to schizophrenia. I don't know if it will be helpful to you but it's the only one I've found that explains the "paranoid content" of psychosis in a manner that made sense to me.
