I was very pleased with my first session. She was very engaged with the conversation. Seemed very interested in my situation. I had questions for her and she was more than willing to answer them.
I should add that this is through the VA so it's no cost to me.
She said she has been working with veterans for 3 years now and specializes in Combat PTSD and physical and sexual abuse PTSD.

The first therapist would not even look at me when talking. He didn't take any time to find anything out about me and would not answer any questions. He said he was there to ask the questions but he didn't ask many. Just wanted you jump right into a textbook cure. I went for about 6 weeks and we never really got started on anything. He would explain the program, had me watch a few videos and basically kept telling me how successful the program is. I looked at his notes on my chart and he was writing things that had never taken place. I ended up filing a complaint about him and quit going. I was eventually asked if I would be willing to sit down and confront him with his supervisor in the room, I said I would but it never happened.

The P doc finally asked if I was willing to try another therapist to see if it would be a better fit. So here I am. Next appointment is next Friday.
Thanks for this!
