This is what worked for me so far. I was able to drop 15lbs in couple of months while on Zyprexa!

1) This is the big one. Cut out all refined sugar. And I don't mean just the white stuff that goes into your tea or coffee. Everything that has refined sugar in it: candy, cookies, pastry, sodas, fruit juices (they're not as natural as they want you to believe). Also, no to all white baked good: buns, plain bagels, heroes, white bread. Eat natural sugar: apples and other fruit, honey, raw figs and dates. Drink a lot of water.

Sugar is responsible for that awful belt around your waist.

2) Lower carb-rich foods like rice (white!), noodles, pasta. Don't stop eating them entirely, but eat less of these. Half of what you'd normally eat.

3) Eat smaller portions. Don't stuff yourself. You should never feel full and stuffed but always slightly unfulfilled. You'll get used to this and will feel lighter and it will encourage you to keep at this.

4) If you have to snack, then snack on raw, unsalted nuts.

5) If you can help it: don't eat after 6pm.

Weigh yourself only every two weeks. Weighing yourself often shows slower results and can discourage you.

Oh, and yeah, it takes some sacrifice and effort, but there is no magic.
