You all made me laugh. I took the external keyboard and attacked it with small scissors and shook and pounded a lot of doggie hair out. Then I took the keyboard off the laptop again and replaced it. It's now working so I am glad I didn't throw it out the window. And Wendy, don't do it because i can tell you there are no good computer and truck fairies out there. As for your speed or lack there of, my family desk top was bogged down by junk from internet explorer this past summer and I had a bit of a job cleaning it and getting it running up to speed again. Unless you have a very old 100 mhz or 200 mhz it should not be acting that way. Spybot is good, as is spyware. Also defraging and cleaning up helps a bunch. Guess I am in a better mood because I can sound partially intelligent. Heck, my daughter is still running 200 mhz with 64 bites ram and she does fine with it with no bogging down so I think it's maybe not too full yet. She loves her old Dell.
