I posted the question hoping someone who was a member would reply. Didn't want to make them have to reveal their type of abuse if they haven't. Didn't mean to stir up such interest. Since I will only be revealing my type of abuse, well, no biggie. It can easily be googled. SNAP stands for Support Network for those Abused by Priests. It has grown to include any religious, any faith, male or female. It Is now an International organization with chapters in every state in the USA. Most recently in the news at the death of Cardinal Law, who fled the USA to the Vatican to escape prosecution.
here where I am we do have a support network for those abused by priests (SNAP) but because it does get confused by many who are on food stamps it is now called by other names, I am not a member of this kind of group but I do have a friend in a group that addresses the same issues that SNAP does but the group is under a different name.
