I am 65. Have seen psych docs, therapists all my life. I am a woman with high IQ but have been treated as less than. No drugs helped. Fam DR put me on short acting Adderall 10mg. about 10 yrs ago for off label treatment of depression. Only drug that has given me motivation. Trying to get on other drugs from DR to help. Switching to SNRI from SSRI's after almost 20 years of virtually throwing money away. I have depression & multiple anxiety disorders but have been able to function to get away with mental health condition. Feel like life was wasted. Felt like this in grade school. Try and stay with stimulant if you can tolerate it. Maybe ADHD specialist will have cancellation sooner. Did you ask to get on a waiting list? I moved to rural area from thriving urban area in PA. Regret move now that I need competent DR's but then again, DR's in PA didn't know what they were doing anyhow. Good Luck!!!
