I'm sorry you're so troubled by this. I don't watch much commercial TV. Mostly we watch shows on our local public television station. Also I make a point of not watching the news on TV. When my wife turns it on, I leave the room. However, when we do watch programs on the commercial TV stations, the mute button on the remote gets vigorous exercise!
