I can sympathize. On Christmas night, at Disney World, I fell and tore a large chunk out of my right shin. I bled so much the medics made me go by ambulance to the ER. I got 22 stitches in the thing and then carried on with the vacation somewhat hobbled. Fast-forward to New Year's Day and the wound got infected. I have cellulitis all around it and it's not healing at all. So I had to go to our local ER to get it treated instead of waiting till my doctor appointment this coming week. I was given strong antibiotics and wound care instructions, and I have to see a trauma surgeon to have the dead tissue removed and talk about a skin graft. Oh goody.
