I would definitely arrange something like that, or if possible and even better, create that kind of supportive environment you would get from a cna on your own with friends and family taking the place of cna. This can be phone calls, texts, emails, etc. In general you'll want to invest in it too, by having as much structure as possible. So, consistent meal times, chores time, hygiene time, and most important, consistent bed time and awake time. (and med times are just as important).
Regarding meds, a lot of places now do bubble packs, so you don't have to sort things out and fill a weekly box. That can be stressful and can create worry. A bubble pack can reduce or eliminate those things so you have time for things you enjoy and are good for you. If your pharmacy doesn't have this, do call around. If no luck still, try finding a pharmacy on-line that will send you a monthly pack.
I just looked back at your post and realized you said 'since I'm going to be along for so long"...How long will this be for and how have things normally been for you? Keep us updated. That can be part of your structure/support as well.
Hope this might have helped some,
