You say you saw Blair Witch though, so it wasn't just the hand-held camera? Some people find that just irritating and some nauseating because their brain can't take the shaking/viewpoint.

It's not my kind of movie, the premise and location, etc. I hate not being able to see "well" so would have hated the camera and it would have made me angry. I would have wanted to snatch it out of someone's hand and been pissed I'd be unable to :-)
