I have a list of 'steps' I take if I feel myself spiraling/falling into crisis.
1. Eat something - sometimes, I am only spiraling because I have not eaten in a long time, and my blood sugar is crashing.
2. Text a friend
3. Go somewhere where there are other people, and I am safe from hurting myself - e.g., walking around a grocery store
4. Take a bath
5. Get warm - heated blanket, space heater, warm PJs
6. Watch a light-hearted show
If, after all of that, I am still not feeling safe, I reach out to my T for help.
