my last big breakdown still bugs me....I left the private practice of psychiatry in 1973..
I stopped suddenly seeing patients and tried to do something else....I couldn't do anything...I was severely depressed...I had too many problems of my own...I just couldn't listen any longer to my patients suffering...I had my own problems in my marriage...but my biggest problem being in charge of a private practice all on my own...I just broke down...

bottom line----I had too many personal problems myself to be able to help others....
it was not for me after years of preparation and training...I wanted so much to help my patients without using medicines...but I couldn't do it...I tried...what a downer..
