We've been working to get everyone into a comfortable functioning system & drugs could mess with that. Before I head to the internet (site suggestions most welcome!) How do others deal with this? Do you take a particular drug for a particular alter? Gee, a million questions!!! Any info, please.

Dr. Colin Ross wrote in his book that psychotropic drugs did not work for MPD/DID patients. Basically he was implying that those drugs will not cure trauma based mental health problems. He did say that in the serious time of treatment some sedatives might be necessary.
I do believe now that all my alters have borderline personality disorder just like I do. They grew up in the same dysfunctional family that I grew up in. I did not develop appropriate social skills so I am sure that they did not develop those skills also. Every alter will have mental health problems. Some may have different problems but most will have the same mental health problems. At least that is what I believe.
