I have Scheuermann's Disease which means my spine is abnormal and affects my posture and often my back is tense. In the past I would try to relax my back and while doing so I would let my vision fixate on others. People didn't understand this and started to stereotype me as a troublemaker. I couldn't relax in my apartment because people would look in to my apartment expecting me to do something offensive. I would also go to places where even the employees would treat me badly. I had to move back with my parents who live in a closed subdivision. I was able to relax and I practiced tadasana everyday which improved my posture. Now I don't do the things that got me in trouble in the first place. However, I went back to my apartment yesterday and made a tiny fidget and got the feeling that somebody caught and tried to shame me for. I am told I have low self esteem by my psychiatrist. I don't want to go back and have the previous situation repeat itself. Any strategies would be appreciated.
