Woodstock .. i was 10yrs old and wanted to go so bad lol .. i was a little flower child - my brother was a teenager and was headed that way before being stopped by my mother .. my dad was in viet nam at the time..
So .. he had his own woodstock i our front yard one day - he is a drummer .. had a band that was well known ...he had the band over and lifted all the windows in the front of the house - attracted every teenager and young person on our block .. was so funny to see the look on my poor moms face when she drove up and saw what was happening lolololol a forever image in my mind!
To this day - i love all the music from that era ... wish they were all around today in 2008 .. such great losses from that time .. Janis Joplin - Jimi Hendrix - the great Jim Morrison .. Mama Cass Elliott ... There will never be anything like that again - was so pure and so unexpected for that many folks to show up for the concerts .... but everyone was so free.. Made a big impact on my life!
They were the BEST of the BEST!!
