I feel for you. We lived on concrete floor with no tile laid for months and did a big renovation.

Lowe’s was very nice to not make you pay for the ceiling repair. Another contractor doubtfully would have been so nice.

We used Home Depot, and they also were so nice not to charge us for a mistake we made and gave it to us free without asking them to...really nice. I like using these big companies for that reason.

I hope they finish soon. I remember you once had bugs come out of your shower. I wonder if that pipe was the cause.
