Aww I'm sorry this has happened. I think it is very common unfortunately. In fact, it has happened to me so often that it doesn't bother me anymore. It is like I'm immune to it, I'm so used to it and I'm actually surprised when someone I used to talk to years earlier is very nice to me and acts like they still like me as much as they did then. I'm like, wow, you still like me? Awesome. But yeah, I know how disappointing it is. Find new friends that will not let you down.
