I've used a lot of supplements in the past. They have not been very helpful (in my case). I saw an "orthomolecular specialist" for quite awhile. With my current med regimen, I would not add 5-htp because I don't want to get into any trouble with any "serotonin syndrome."

I like Yerba Mate teas.
