Mine's young and in my age group. She's 30, turning 31. I'm a couple of years younger than her. Unlike many of our peers, she isn't married yet, and I think she's single.
I like that she's relatively newly out of her doctoral program (3 years since she graduated) because she's up to date in the latest, evidence based treatments for chronic Axis 1, and personality "disorders". She's young enough in her career as a therapist to still not be jaded, but not completely wet behind the ears.
I do know that age doesn't correlate with skill, and while I'd have no issue with her being older, the older generation of MH professionals in my country TEND to be conservative unless they work in an explicitly "open to marginalised groups" organisation. Heck, many young ones my age in social work, psychology and counselling training programs are sadly bigoted in a variety of important ways whether they're religious or not.
