My 80 yr. old MIL only wore glasses for reading, if then.....vanity you know.

When she went to get her license renewed she too failed the test, and was told she had to come back with glasses to retake it. She even had to go to the Highway patrol office to show them the RX and glasses to get her license.

We thought it was really overkill, heck she had never worn glasses for distance. Then she went to the eye doctor.....her vision in one eye was 20/200 and the other 20/400 .

She was so excited when she got her glasses, she said everything was "3-dimensional" . Needless to say, she wears her glasses now, and we feel a lot better that she does .
