I wouldn't wear them because if your were prescribed reading glasses then your probably far sided more then near sided which means you have difficulties seeing what's near you instead of what's far away. I am actually near sided in one eye and far in the other and have a hard time focusing my eyes...but I passed the eye exam easily, they don't get into like you'd think...they're very busy.
