My therapist does EMDR mixed in with talk therapy CBT and DBT. I also go to a DBT class that last for 2 hours once a week I will probably be in the class for six months to a year. I do not have BPD but I do have huge problems with dealing with emotions plus PTSD and depression. At least one woman in my class has extreme anxiety over everything. I think DBT is helpful for all of that. Personally I like it better than CBT as well. I would definitely give it a try teaches you a lot of skills especially calming skills through the mindfulness and emotional regulation parts.
