These people are criminals. People who get into these situations are victims of a crime. Many crimes could be avoided if victims did something different, like didn”t walk alone in a dark or didn’t leave their doors unlocked. They are victims even if they brought it upon themselves.
Same here. It’s no matter if what they did was ridiculous like gave money away, they are still victims of a crime.
And people do bizarre things especially when it comes to money when they are caught in a vulnerable state or certain condition (mania). People of all walks of life become victims of various type of scammers. Not just romance scammers
