I realize that for those of you in the frozen north black ice is not remarkable, but I'm in central Florida. We are a subtropical area. There was black ice on one of the local roads Thursday morning. It was a first for the area. Saw the cartoon below and thought it applied.
On a humorous note my poor chickens were totally confused when they tried to get a drink of water and discovered it was solid. They kept pecking at the "water" and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Liz came to their rescue and broke up the ice.
