Prazosin is an antihypertensive, to reduce high blood pressure, medicine that even in doses as low as 1mg can reduce it eliminate nightmares. I get relief with it. A lot of vets take it. However, it dulls or removes other dreams too, which is why I quit taking it before. But, when I'm shaken all day from the nightmares, I'll lose the other dreams and take the med.
