I will have to check into this with her lawyer. She will end up with what is called a marriage green card. She does not get to have citizenship here. I imagine she would need to go through the naturalization process to become a citizen. So even though she will have legal status, it is not the same as being a citizen. All green card holders can be deported if they do not follow the laws related to their status here.
