They'll be paying me the phlebotomy wages in the afternoons, so its actually more expensive. They could get someone fresh out of high school to do that. They're taking pains to find something so I can get my 40 hours because I need full time. They all but begged me not to leave the mornings at the doctor's office. Patients used to wait 2 hours passed their appts, and now they might wait ten minutes passed, if I have a hard stick. They're so happy with my work, and the patients are raving about me, that they scrambled to find a way to give me my hours so I wouldn't leave.

Also, where I'm going to help with office stuff, they have a draw station, so I'll be available for hard sticks, or if someone calls out. Its actually looking better and better to me. I've been getting SO tired after work. Its hard to work full time with an autoimmune disease. So this will give me relaxing afternoons on my bum at my phlebotomy pay. I'll also be learning yet another skill.....all doc's offices are going to this computerized scanning system, so its just another skill to put on my resume. Its computer software I'll need to learn.

So its not at all them trying to push me out of phlebotomy, its them loving me so much that they realized their oops in planning and are scrambling to keep me happy so I don't leave the company.

My afternoons will also be flexible, which my boss knows about my grandma, so by doing this, I can take afternoons off when need me. I'm not required to work the afternoons, its just an opportunity for me to get my full time pay. Pretty cool.....seems like most companies would be like sorry!!! We've gotta cut back!!
