I’ve put rods and a cross bar on the sliding glass door.
I’ve thought about an alarm system—I might do that.
Sometimes I get paranoid and set up a talk radio by the door so it sounds like someone is watching tv. I have a device that looks like the flashing of a television.

Using a talk radio and a device that mimics a TV flickering is a good idea. An alarm system would also help and there is nothing wrong woth sleeping in a recliner or another chair that is comfortable.
