Hi. Same as many others here, late to reply to original posting. I'm 42. Been suffering from SIBO (kind of IBS) with chronic constipation and abdominal pain for may months, and lately almost every day, ending up in ER often, close to death from pain and weakness...this may be contributing, also took 5-htp twice yesterday, 50mg each time, and have been taking boswellia (frankincense), took that a few hours ago, had abdominal pain, feeling very unlike myself and not relaxed, trying to go to sleep, watching a video on the internet and EVERYTHING SEEMED SPED UP, the movements of the people, speech, sound, like it was in fast forward...tried watching some videos I am used to, know well, they seemed sped up, too. Called crisis line, the dial tone was even sped up, everything was. I put heating pad on my abdomen, called a nurse's hotline, very gradually things started getting more normal speed, but still off. ALSO, HAVE BEEN NOTICING RINGING IN MY EARS, unusual type of ringing for me. Interesting too because yesterday I went to get my hearing checked, had to make an appointment, and there was something about how hearing problems can affect the mind (my hearing was damaged/decreased recently when I took an antibiotic to try to treat the SIBO.) I have never had this sped up thing happen to me before, that I can recall. Very frightening. Grateful there is this forum, and I am not the only one it sounds like. Hope we can figure it out.
