I've been in my most recent relationship for just over 6 years. It's been rocky for a least the last 2 years...
This weekend proved to be the same old routine... Seemingly getting on, though awkward. I spent most of my time in the spare room watching Netflix while he was downstairs gaming online and chatting to online gamer buddies...
Quite frankly, I've had enough. I don't feel that I have any quality of life outside of work anymore.
I therefore brought up the conversation about our relationship, or lack thereof (again!!)... Not an easy conversation to have of course... I blurted out how I was feeling (utterly miserable) while he said nothing. We then shared our frustrations, concluding that this cannot go on and we shouldn't be together.
Oddly, there was no shouting or crying or... Well, anything... He shows no concern for the relationship, only the now apparent issue of the house...
And there lies one of the issues... If I'm going to be in a relationship I want it to be with someone who actually wants to be with me...

He brought up the living situation. We own a house together. Neither of us can afford to move out immediately... My closest family are 400 miles away. I can't ask him to move to him mums... He's don't nothing wrong... This just isn't working.
So, as neither of us can come up with any better solution, it appears that we will be living together for the foreseeable future...

The strangest part of it all was that shortly after we resumed talking normally, even laughing and eating toghether. He is typically very difficult to read when it comes to emotions, but this type of convo usually results in us not talking for several days...

So yeah... I'm slightly perplexed atm... 🤪🤯
