I find there is nothing for me to use to control just the OCD. I have to control my anxiety which in turns helps with the OCD. I have scripts for ativan, xanax and klonopin. I of course don't use them all at once ( although I wouldn't have to worry about the anxiety,lol) I would think that you would need something that would work on the spot, When I start feeling wound, the OCD gets worse.the Effexor XR never worked for me.
