Heath Ledger's performance in "Brokeback Mountain" was one of the finest that I've seen. It is hard to believe that a person at around 26,27 could play that role exactly as it is written.

My daughter gave me a copy of the "out of print" book, by Annie Proulx, and Brokeback Mountain was one of the short stories in it.

Celebrating a person's life, after death, makes so much more sense to me than worrying about the thread, being concerned that he played a "gay cowboy" or any of the other negatives that can come up.

I'm sure his spirit departed this earth upon the wings of angels and love.

Jinnyann, I admire you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts and feelings about Mr. Ledger and the unfair treatment that nutcases are trying to impose upon his grieving family and friends.
Just watch, the memorials will be private and they won't be able to get anywhere near the celebrations.
