I understand your fears... having been there. Being locked up in a psychiatric ward against one's wishes can be a terrifying experience.

But I've never seen anyone in a psych ward hooked up to IV for a long time (if at all) and that would be required to be in a medically induced coma I believe. It is a very precarious state and would only be done for a medical emergency. I don't think psychiatrist are trained on putting people in and out of comas.

But the dream has a lot of personal meaning regarding fears and I would try to explore that.
