Hey you guys,
I have a rampant case of psoriasis on my head, arm, stomach, eye, and behind one ear. I have some other crap all over my legs that they had to do a biopsy of to figure out what it is (still haven't heard) because according to the derm, "It doesn't look like classic psoriasis."
My question is, can this sort of thing affect your mouth? I've heard of "perioral dermatitis," but peri means "around," not "in." I have a few sores in my mouth and on the sides of my tongue, and I just am wondering if it could be related. I guess I can ask the derm on Thursday when I go get my stitches out.
I posted in the drug questions forum also, about Lamictal. I seem to remember my pdoc saying something about that, but don't remember enough to be sure. I see him in a couple weeks.
I went to the dentist this morning and she's all freaked out about the sores and wants me to see an oral surgeon. My insurance ends Jan. 31 and I won't have any at the new job till April 1. Even if I could get an appointment that fast, they couldn't do any followup that fast, so I'm kind of stuck, in that area.
If anybody knows anything about this stuff, please let me know. Thanks.
