[QUOTE=eskielover;6006391]The hospital I was in had both medical & psych ward areas. They still don't allow anyone to stay in the psych ward when they havr an IV.
Your infection had to be serious. They don't bother putting anyone in the hospital with just an infection if it's not serious.
I had an infection in my leg they were worried had gone into the hip bone. X-ray show ut didnt but I needed IV antibiotics to clear up the infection. They put in a picc line & I went to the urgent care daily for those antibiotics. If it had been serious they would have put me in the hoslital. It also wasn't a staff or MRSA infection either. Those they dont fool around with. I have a friend whose daughter died from a MRSA infection even in the hospital because it wasn't caught soon enough.
If you were in the hospital with an infection, IT WAS SERIOUS.[/QUOT
I really was just refusing to take my antibiotics. That’s the only reason I was inpatient.
It was cellulitis that would have been fine if I just had the antibiotics.
