IMO going to thoughts of jumping in front of a car (I have had thoughts like this in the past) if a bad coping mechanism and depression talking to you. It is easier to imagine this than the incident that is making you feel miserable. We can't avoid all our unpleasant thoughts and talking about them and acknowledging them fully (understanding your role and others role in the incident) is necessary or we can get stuck. Sorry you are struggling.
