I have a library of them.

Like you, I wanted validation for what I was experiencing and trying to understand.

“The Body Keeps The Score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk

That is the book that has become the encyclopedia of what has happened to me and the understanding of it. It is written in a very common wordage that is very understandable to me.

I could not say enough about how this book has helped me understand and work through some very hard places in my healing.

If you have access to utube, he has some very good talks there too.
