you know you are pathetic when....

you watch the oil man deliver oil to your neighbor

while watching your breath condense as soon as it leaves your mouth , you stare out the window ,

licking your lips,watching with anticipation like a little child waiting for the ice cream truck to turn down your street

only to find that he doesn't see you .

you turn to cry, tugging on mama's skirt only to realize that you are the mama,

and when your daughter asks you to turn on the heat all you can say is sorry baby put your hat and gloves on .





pull this if you must. I am so sad I just had to say it . When my pysical pain is elevated everything else just seems so much worse , which is what makes me pathetic
