Budgeting is so important. I have just recently created a real budget for myself and trying to stick to it. I'm also analyzing where I spend money and just using all the online banking tools my credit union offers. It's hard when you don't have a lot of money to see where you can save, but even when you have limited income, knowing where the money is going and what you can truly afford is so much more comforting than worrying about expenses when they come in!
