So I have this female pdoc that works at the University Health Services, and she's fairly "popular" I suppose... pretty hard to get an appt with, but SO worth it. Anyways, the last time I saw her we debated the topic of me trying out some medication to help control my anxiety (this was about 3 weeks ago), and at that point I thought that I could just try and get through without it.

Well, since then, my anxiety has been absolutely THROUGH the roof. It's been so bad that I've had to leave classes, and felt like I was being completely consumed with it.

And so, I called Health Services and asked if they could tell me when she was on the walk-in. (You should also know that i get very anxious around dr's!) And they told me that they could no longer give out that information??? And according to my old T, they don't even give out that information to Counseling Services?? And so today I went over to Health Services and asked the lady who was working at the reception desk who was on the Walk-In clinic today. It wasn't my dr. So I asked her if it were at all possible to let me know when mine would be working, and then I explained my situation. But still, they wouldn't tell me!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't their job to HELP people? I'm going to see my pdoc for anxiety medication, and the receptionist knows that I don't do well with other dr's, so now I have to wait until March to get my prescription!

I honestly don't know how i'm going to do it.

I mean, I understand that if they tell everyone when specific dr's are working the walk-in that they might get a rush of people on those days, but don't you think they could make exceptions for people who are affiliated with Counseling Services?

Its just very frustrating, and doesn't seem very sensitive

I don't know how i'm going to get through with this anxiety consuming me everywhere I go
