hi. i may be in the minority here, but...in my limited experience, if a tranquilizer/antipsychotic is causing depression, dysphoria, etc. early on, it might be good to talk about a different tranquilizer, maybe something outside of the tranquilizer/antipsychotic class of drugs.

although the 'atypicals' are being used for everything, the core uses are still ongoing treatment in Schizophrenia, mania or severe depression, and daily maintenance for a select group of people with Bipolar I. These drugs really should -not- be mega-bestsellers, no matter how 'atypical' they may seem.

and now...end rant, lol. if you need a tranquilizer, maybe abilify or one of the new D2 partial agonists? I think vraylar and rexulti are both approved for mood disorders, and for -some- people, they're easier to tolerate and less toxic than many other options.
