My psychiatrist dictates meds to my GP who prescribes. Zoloft has been amazing for my depression, but it makes me so tired. Psychiatrist told me to take vyvanse. I went to my GP and he said "I feel like a drug dealer. I'm basically prescribing you speed". He really didn't want to, but followed the advice of my psychiatrist in the end.
