I get Lunesta 3mg in addition to the Seroquel. It may seem like a lot, but good sleep is so important for bipolar.

It is an odd, paradoxical effect, yes. What I really want is to only have to take 25mg.
There is the possibility of adding something (like Lunesta) if 25mg consistently doesn't work. My fear, is changing any of my medications. I've been stable for a good 2 years on the combination of meds I'm on, and am just so scared of going off-kilter with any change. Even though I increased the Seroquel, at least it's a medication I'm very familiar with. Ugh. It's a quandary. I'm going to try to go back to 25mg, even if it takes me a very long time to get to sleep; I don't want my body to get too used to 50 mg thus making it even harder to sleep with 25.
I do have this feeling, though, that my body is desperately trying to keep myself awake during the day and that's why adrenaline is potentially kicking in. I don't know much about adrenaline, but I try to not underestimate it when it comes to energy levels.
