I'm OSDD/DD-NOS, but I relate to this.
It's a bit like remembering being told something or remembering a movie rather than remembering experiencing it.
But, if the part that actually experienced it moves really far front, then I start feeling the experience physically (like emotional pain, fear, etc.). I still don't own it as mine immediately - that's a harder leap to work on in therapy.
