I recently lost my SS card (I believe I threw it away by accident when reorganizing files). They didn’t ask me for BC. I don’t even recall when anyone asked me for BC last time. They have record of you in SS office. I got it by mail in about a week or maybe 10 days. To renew your passport you need nothing but photo and application and if you are changing your name, your marriage certificate. Marriage certificate is easy to obtain. None of it takes very long. Everything is computerized. It’s February and you’ll certainly get it all in place by April. I hate dealing with paperwork so I understand being frustrated but it’s all could be done in no time.

I understand you miss your husband. Is there a chance you might live together at some point? Is he there temporarily? Why do you need a hotel visiting him?
