I think you are missing the fact that those posting are trying to be understanding. They are being not unkind at all. I offered you a solution. You don't have to rip our heads off. Those that have responded have in fact acknowledged the emotional and difficult position you are in. They are just being honest.
To which you might consider this brutal on the surface but it is in fact said from an effort to help. Instead of griping do something about it.
Your trip is in April, you have plenty of time to gather up these new documents in time. Just take a breather, and put yourself to the task.
1. Start with your driver's license. As long as it is up to date, it is easier to procure everything else.
2. Visit the church or facility you were married in. They will have copies and can certify them. If not, a trip to city hall is in order.
The above two can be done while you wait.
3. Next approach your health provider and get an up to date copy of your health card (some jurisdictions accept a health card as a alid form of ID).
4. Now get and complete the forms for your birth certificate. Most can be completed on line and accept scanned copies of the above identifications/certificates. Most also offer the option of a sped up delivery.
It is not unrealistic to expect - if you put your mind to it - that you could have new ID in your hand in as little as two weeks.
Get on top of this.
